In 2019, during the 250th anniversary of Alexander von Humboldt (1769-1859), Claudia Isabel Navas, was invited by the Bibliotèque de l’Institut de France to curate an exhibition and a publication on Humboldt’s manuscripts and printed books conserved at the Institut de France. The exhibition « Le voyage américain d’Alexandre de Humboldt (1799-1804) » was presented on September 14th through December 10th. The publication « Les Impressions de Plantes de Humboldt et Bonpland » with previously unpublished reproductions of the impressions of plants made by Humboldt and Bonpland during their trip to Latin America (manuscript /Ms980 is kept at the Bibliothèque de l'Institut de France and is the only copy of its kind in the world).
